Also, you have to provide id. thye take your driver's licence from you, out of my to sight to photocopy it. I don't think so, this is outrageous, I complained to Goldhawk fightsback. Identity theft, who knows where my licence could be now?

The Imperial Buffet on Lebovic Avenue is very overpriced especially at dinner time as they serve below average food with limited choices. The service is quite terrible. Servers aren't friendly at all. They cater to bigger groups instead of first come first serve basis. They also ask certain groups selectively to pay first before entering and the staff constantly talk in their language sometimes even in front of their customers which doesn't help at all. I've been asked to pay first on one occasion while the next week with another group I wasn't. This really pissed me off. Needless to say I won't be going there again, too bad the location is good as it is close to the theaters.

So I just came back with my mother where we had gone for dinner at the Imperial buffet, and we could not be any more disatisfied. First of all, I will admit that it was our fault for not having enough money because we had one of those coupons you get in the mail, and we neglected to see the small print that said the coupon is invlaid between December 16 to January 3, but regardless we did not appreciate the staff pointing at us and speaking about us in their language. I understand that the buffet is a chinese based business but there was tons of clientelle in there who are not chinese, therefore someone who comes to eat at your restaurant does not deserve to be bad mouthed in your naitive tongue, and furthermore, if they do not want to provide the coupon discount during the holidays then why mail out the coupons in the first place?

Also today's selections were nothing amazing, and the crab legs both did not look or smell fresh $24.99 per person for this kind of buffet is extremely over priced in my perspective. So it goes without saying that Imperial buffet will never be recieving our business again.

From the first day it opened i have been to Scarboro Location quite a few times but I have noticed like many other buffets{Mandarin excluded}that the quality and taste of the food has drastically gone downhill-I guess with popularity comes a mindset that you are able to cut back now that you have a regular clientele.Which i feel that if you kept things the same your client base would grow even more-because as they say Word of mouth from satisfied customer is worth thousands'.

My family and friends have been going their for years food is great most of the times desserts not so good,staff not very frendly,takes quite awhile to pay your bill. Now prices have gone up for my daughter's late birthday dinner for 7 ppl it cost ua $128.00 too much we payed last year $89.00 or so.

Have been going to Imperial for 'several' years (North York/ Scarborough...I don't think the North York location exists anymore?)...First when they opened in Scarborough I found it great in all ways...However, the past several months/ times I went there the service was terrible...we hardly receive a smile from staff...Majority of the times When I enter the person to seat us will just walk ahead as if for us to follow (few words, no smile)...The Servers are seldom energetic, The food, hmmmm is 'so so'...dry, warm )

A few months ago on the final night of the 'Coupon 2 for 1' deal, a group of us went to the restaurant for an evening of good food and a get together. The food was really incredible as it usually is. My wife is now 73 and doesn't get around very easily but as we had a few extra coupons she was caught by a very rude waitress handing them to other patrons and treated like a criminal telling her she'd have to pay full price and get out of the restaurant. Now I realize that what my wife was doing was wrong and should have been reprimanded but not in the fashion that she was treated. My wife was trying to be her usual generous self and the waitress should have realized that a woman in her condition shouldn't have been treated so rudely. Now, coupon or no coupon she will never go back to your restaurant as it's left a black mark on her heart.
Once again we love the food you put out and the cleanness of your restaurant but your employees should be trained in courtesy before being let out on the floor.

This is our favourite restaurant. Lunch buffet there is the best deal in town! Great food and great service.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! WE ATE IN THIS BUFFET YESTERDAY(7TH OF NOVEMBER,2010) AND WE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCED EVER ! THEY KICKED US OUT OF THE RESTAURANT TO GIVE OUR TABLE FOR A BIGGER PARTY! SOOO GREEDY! THEY TOLD US TO MOVE TO ANOTHER TABLE ! WHAT? WHERE IN THE WORLD YOU CAN FIND A PLACE LIKE THIS ASKING YOU TO MOVE TO ANOTHER TABLE IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR MEAL!! EAT ALL YOU CAN BUT THEY RUSHED YOU WHILE YOU ARE EATING, GRABBING YOUR PLATES ACCROSS YOUR TABLE, I WONDER IF EMPLOYEES WASHED THEIR HANDS AT LEAST..

The manager is using a camera that is focused on the buffet to see how many panko covered shrimp that one puts in the smallish take out container... If you take too much, although it says all you can eat (or take out), she charges extra, and gets mad.. Their 'all you can eat' statement is misleading, incorrect, and this place should be advertising it is NOT an all you can eat buffet 'for take out purposes'..

They overcharge you for poor quality meals... Oily and greasy..

This place is a poor place to eat, Mandarin will beat it by leaps and bounds..

I went there on my birthday.
On your birthday you eat free.
I enjoyed the food & the service was great.

every one of our group of twelve people thoroughly enjoyed the exciting atmosphere at Imperial Buffet. The food tasted fantastic and the hot foods were still hot when we began eating. All the staff seemed professional, cheerful and focused on their part to please us. Although we ahd to wait an hour to get a table, we left completely satisfied. Imperial buffet knows how to receive and serve a very large volume of hungry customers.

The selection and freshness of the food offered is only surpassed by the enjoyable atmosphere created by the more than friendly staff and management.

Very good food, and crab legs and shrimp every night of the week yummy!

The Imperial Buffet provides a large variety of Chinese and Western dishes including soups, salads, main dishes and dessserts. The staff are friendly and efficient. The surroundings are basic but clean and with good lighting. Parking is free and plentiful.
